California International Teachers Association is seeking for teaching professionals who possess strong communication skills to teach middle and high school students domestically and internationally. Mostly domestic.
Subjects include math, science, English, history, standardized test prep (ACT/SAT), AP, SSAT, PSAT, enrichment courses in critical thinking and problem solving, essay writing and literature analysis, and many more - all educational backgrounds are welcome. Teaching experience in these subjects is preferred, but for those of you who are new to our industry, training is provided!
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from a U.S. Top 100 college or university, in accordance with the US News ranking.
Strong communication skills to establish rapport with students and co-workersPassion for educationExperience teaching or tutoring Middle school and High School studentsHave stable high speed internet, computer, HD camera, Microphone, as this position is totally online.
Comfortable with online apps. (The teaching platform is user-friendly, we will offer training before teaching.)
We’d prefer:
Formal experience and/or training in educationAbility to teach multiple subjects (i.e. SAT Verbal, ACT Verbal, SAT Math, and ACT Math & Science)Familiarity with standardized tests (AP, SAT II, SAT, ACT, etc.) in your subjectsAbility to work at multiple locations
What you’ll do:
Tutor and instruct students 1-on-1 or at most 1-on-3 with academic coursework, standardized test prep, and enrichment courses. You will need to develop and customize lesson plans and curriculum to provide students with targeted, individualized academic support. You will need to maintain comprehensive reports of sessions to track progress and adapt to students’ needs. Most importantly, help students achieve their academic goals while making the experience as positive as possible.
Where you’ll do it:
Part-time from home, 100% online
Pay rate:
Part-time: $25-50+ per hour, depends on your qualifications, experience, pay raise is highly possible for good tutoring results.
